What is Your Price?

Jessica Alba has never posed nude. In fact, she has spent thousands, if not millions, fighting the distribution of fake nude photos of her. She is principled in this stance. I commend her for it.
Cindy Margolis has never posed nu...oh, crap. Now you've gone and done it Cindy. I'm not sure how much Playboy paid you for your first ever nude photo spread, but I'm sure in the twilight of your career you decided it would be a great way to maximize your earning potential. After all, how much longer can a 40-something continue to make a career as a PG-13 model?
Okay, pretty damn long if she looks as good as she does in the recent issue of Playboy.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing people who pose nude. In fact, I am all in favor of pop princesses, supermodels, and A-list, B-list, and C-list (or lower) female celebrities posing in the pages of Playboy. What drives me nuts, however, is when you've someone who makes a dramatic effort to avoid any kind of nude publicity, and then, one day, probably because of money, up and decides it is suddenly an empowering thing to do.
Let's be honest: this was about money. If Cindy really wanted to get naked for the sake of proving she was still a hottie, or she wanted to feel liberated by nudity, she could've gone to whatever studio she takes her regular pictures at, except removed the swimsuit or lingere.
I'm glad you got naked, Cindy, but be honest about your motivations. When Britney Spears is 35 and needs publicity (or money) we'll all know why she did it. At 40 years old, you know why people pose in Playboy. Just admit it!!!
